Reports Dashboards: Dashboard Templates

The easiest way to get started is to use a Dashboard template. Once a Dashboard is created, you can further customize it.

To create a Dashboard from a template:

  1. Navigate to the Reports section in Copper.

  2. Near the top left side, click on Add a New Dashboard.

  3. Select Start with a Template.

  4. A page with a selection of templates will open up. Browse through our templates and select the one you’d like to use.

  5. Click Add to Dashboard.

The page will reload with your new Dashboard.

Filtering Dashboards

You can narrow in on the information you want to see on a Dashboard by applying a filter. Simply click on one of the filtering options near the top of your Dashboard.

Editing Your Dashboard

To edit a Dashboard, simply click on the Edit button.

The Edit button opens the Dashboard editor. Here are some things you can do there:

  1. Rename your Dashboard by clicking on its title and editing it.

  2. Add descriptions to each section by clicking Add Description here...

  3. Apply a filter to your Dashboard. For example, you might choose to filter based on the pipeline you want this Dashboard to look at.

  4. Reorder the Insights by dragging and dropping them.

  5. Remove an Insight by selecting it and clicking the trash can icon.

  6. Add an Insight by dragging and dropping it from the Insight list on the left.

Remember to click Save & Publish after making your adjustments!

There are more advanced customization options, such as building your own Insights or Dashboards from scratch.

Starter Template Options

Activity by User

This template includes three key Insights:

  1. A bar chart showing activity count by owner. Each bar represents one user in your Copper system and is broken down by activity type.

  2. A table for activity count by owner, showing the total number of activities that has been logged for each user.

  3. A table for activity count by type, showing the total number of times an activity of a certain type has been done by a user (e.g. meetings, phone calls, etc)

  4. A table for activity by owner detail, which lists each activity along with details such as the activity date.

Activity Touchpoints by Company & Opportunity

This template includes five insights:

  1. A pie chart for activity by company, which shows a breakdown of the total number of activities per Company logged by any of your users

  2. A pie chart for activity by opportunity, which shows a breakdown of the total number of activities per Opportunity logged by any of your users

  3. A table for activity by Company, which shows the total number of activities per Company

  4. A table for activity by Opportunity, which shows the total number of activities per Opportunity

  5. A table for activity by owner detail, which display a list of the activities along with relevant details such as the activity date.

This template includes five insights:

  1. A pie chart for activity by Person, which shows a breakdown of the total number of activities per Person logged by any of your users

  2. A pie chart for activity by Opportunity, which shows a breakdown of the total number of activities per Opportunity logged by any of your users

  3. A table for activity by Person, which shows the total number of activities per Person

  4. A table for activity by Opportunity, which shows the total number of activities per Opportunity

  5. A table for activity by owner detail, which display a list of the activities along with relevant details such as the activity date.
