Copper for Waitlist Management

Hi there!

Has anyone used Copper to manage a waitlist, whether its or a beta release, or an actual physical product/space?

  • Hi Bonnie,

Great question! Depending on your product, you could manage a waitlist either through your People list or through an Opportunity pipeline.

In the People list, you can create a tag like "Waitlist - v2 Release" and use that to create a filter to view people on the waitlist. You could also use more specific tags if you're releasing your product in batches e.g. "Waitlist - v2 Release - group 1" and "Waitlist - v2 Release - group 2." This might be a good option if you would like to bulk email the people with those tags.

You could also set up a pipeline with stages for "Waitlisted" and "Released to Customer." Each person on the waitlist could be its own opportunity within that pipeline. This setup might make more sense if you have fewer people on the waitlist or if you're interacting closely with each one. For example, if you're doing a Beta release, this setup might help you keep track of customer feedback and interactions with the sales/support team.

    I hope that helps!
