🎥 Purchase or Reduce Seats in Copper

Add or Remove Seats from Billing

You can add more seats to invite additional users or request to reduce seats from your billing settings.

Check your current seat usage

  1. Click Customization in the navigation bar

  2. Go to UsersUser Management

Here, you’ll see:

  • The total number of seats purchased

  • The number of users currently added

This helps you determine if you need to purchase more seats, or if you have open seats available for your new teammate(s).

Purchase more seats

⚠️ Only the Account Owner can purchase seats

If you’ve reached your seat limit you can purchase more seats:

  1. Go to CustomizationBilling and Upgrade

  2. Click Adjust Seats directly on the billing page by using the arrows to increase the number of seats.

  3. Review the updated cost amount and confirm your changes.

How billing works:

  • Additional seats are prorated based on your current billing cycle

  • You’ll only be charged for the remaining time in your term

  • At the next renewal, the full seat cost will be included

Once added, seats are available immediately for new users.


Reduce seats

To decrease the number of seats in your plan:

  1. Go to CustomizationBilling and Upgrade

  2. Select I want to downgrade seats in my plan

  3. Submit the request to contact the billing team

Your seat reduction will take effect at the next billing cycle.


Tips

  • Review seat usage regularly to avoid hitting your limit unexpectedly

  • Seat reductions are scheduled for the next renewal and won’t take effect immediately

  • Only account owners can make billing changes

  • Note that all subscription changes must follow our Terms of Service.
