The Copper mobile business card scanner helps you grow your relationships on the go.

Scan business cards from your mobile phone directly into the Copper app to create People or Leads so you can start managing those new relationships right away.

There are two ways you can create People or Leads from business cards with the mobile app:

Scan a business card

  1. From the Copper mobile app, choose Add Person or Add Lead

  2. Select Scan card in the upper right corner, as shown below

  3. You will be prompted to grant Copper access to the camera; choose Allow

  4. The Copper mobile business card scanner will open, with some guidance on how best to position the business card as shown below

  5. Position the business card within the white outline, then tap the shutter button

  6. The scan should take under 1 second, but you may briefly see a processing state, as shown below

7. When the scan is complete, you will see the details from the business card have populated fields for the new Person or Lead. You are able to review and make changes before saving, as shown below

8. Click Done

If you have entered any fields prior to clicking Scan card, those fields will be overwritten by the business card scanner

💡 Tip

To get a good scan, place the business card on a high contrast solid background. You can also turn on your camera’s flashlight from the business card scanner.
