If you are experiencing a connection error (such as the example below) and are unable to access www.copper.com or app.copper.com, its possible that Copper's website(s) have been accidentally flagged by your network security.

Here are troubleshooting steps to resolve Copper website access:

1. Confirm if the issue is related to your Network

Check if the issue is related to your network:

  • Connect using a mobile hotspot or different Wi-Fi.

  • If Copper loads, the problem is likely with your current network or firewall.

2. Check Browser Settings

Rule out browser issues:

  • Clear cache/cookies and disable extensions like ad blockers or VPNs.

  • Try using another browser (Google Chrome is Copper's officially supported browser).

3. Allow List Copper, in Network or Firewall Settings

How to Log in to Your Router:

  • In your browser, go to http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1.

  • Log in with router credentials (often "admin"/"admin").

  • Go to Firewall or Security settings.

  • Allowlist:

    • app.copper.com

    • *.copper.com

  • Ensure Port 443 (HTTPS) is open.

  • Save changes and restart your router if needed.

⚠️ If you're on a work network, contact your IT team before making changes.

4. Whitelist in Antivirus/Security Software

Make sure your antivirus isn’t blocking Copper:

  • Open your antivirus app.

  • Look for a section like Web Protection, Firewall, or Exceptions.

  • Add app.copper.com to the trusted list.

5. Contact Copper Support

  • Send Copper Support a screenshot of the error.

  • Include your network type (home/work), firewall software, and confirmation of the above steps.
