We’re excited to introduce the LinkedIn Email Finder — a new capability in Copper’s Chrome Extension and web and mobile apps that lets you find, store and action on verified email addresses.

With Email Finder, you can:

  • Search for a contact’s verified business email address directly from LinkedIn using the Copper Chrome Extension.

  • Find an email for existing contacts in Copper who are missing an email address — right from the contact record in the Copper web app, iOS app, or Android app.

  • Automatically populate the email on the record once a match is found, helping you enrich contact details without manual research.

  • Save time on prospecting and outreach by reducing tab-switching and guesswork.

Using Email Finder inside Copper (Web + mobile)

You can also use Email Finder directly in Copper for contacts that don’t yet have an email address.

  1. Open a Lead or Person record that is missing an email.

  2. Click or tap the Find email button at the top of the record.

  3. After a moment, the verified email will automatically populate on the contact.

This makes it easy to enrich existing records and move from connection to outreach, even if you’re not on LinkedIn.

Using Email Finder on LinkedIn

To find emails while browsing LinkedIn, you’ll need to download and pin the Copper Chrome Extension. Watch the walkthrough here:

Allowed number of attempts

Each plan includes a set number of Email Finder attempts per user, per week.
All attempts reset every Sunday at 12:00 AM Eastern Time.

Using the Email Finder

While on LinkedIn:

  1. Open LinkedIn in your browser.

  2. Click on the pinned Copper Chrome Extension in your Chrome toolbar.
→ Need help? Watch this walkthrough on how to download and pin the extension.

  3. Navigate to the profile of a warm lead you’d like to find an email for.

  4. If the lead isn’t in Copper yet, add them as either a Lead or a Person.

  5. Once the contact is saved, the Find Email button will appear.

  6. Click Find Email — and in just a moment, the verified email address will populate automatically.

While on the web app:

  1. Open any contact record in Copper

  2. Click Find Email—and in just a moment, the verified email address will populate automatically.

That’s it! In a few clicks, you’ll have a complete, enriched contact record in Copper—no copy-pasting required.

Why can’t I save a record without an email?

If you’re trying to create or update a record in Copper but can’t save it without entering an email address, it’s likely because email has been set as a required field on your account.

How to fix it

An account owner or admin can update this setting by:

  1. Going to Preferences in Copper.

  2. Selecting Customize.

  3. Clicking Manage Fields on Records.

  4. Find the Email field, and in the Mandatory dropdown, change the setting from Required to None.

Once that’s done, you’ll be able to create or update records without needing to add an email address.
