Custom Navigation allows Account Owners and Admins to customize Copper’s left-hand navigation to better reflect how their team works.
With Custom Navigation, you can:
Reorder navigation items
Create custom navigation groups
Add direct links to filtered list views
Move integrations and tools into relevant sections
Access hidden items through the expanded navigation menu
This article walks through how to set up and manage Custom Navigation.
Who can customize navigation?
Only Account Owners and Admins can edit navigation.
All navigation changes apply at the account level, so updates will be visible to all users in your Copper account.
How to edit your navigation
To customize your navigation:
Open the left-hand navigation menu.
Click Edit Navigation at the bottom of the menu.
The navigation editor will open.
In the editor, you’ll see:
Current Navigation: items currently visible in the left-hand menu
Navigation Catalog: available tools, views, and sections you can add
From here, you can drag and drop items between sections.
Reorder navigation items
To reorder existing navigation items:
Open Edit Navigation.
In the Current Navigation panel, drag and drop items into your preferred order.
Click Save.
Changes will update for all users immediately.
Create a custom navigation group
Custom groups help organize related tools and views into one section.
To create a group:
Open Edit Navigation.
Hover over the sections until you see the New Group flag.
Enter a name for the group.
Use the drop down menu on the right side of the panel to access Pages, Lists and Views Preset groups.
Drag items into the group from the right side of the panel.
Click Save.
You can create groups for:
Sales pipelines
Tasks
Customer onboarding
Recruiting workflows
Team processes
Add filtered views to navigation
You can add saved filtered list views directly to your navigation for faster access.
To add a view:
Open Edit Navigation.
In the Navigation Catalog, locate the saved view you want to add.
Drag it into your navigation or into a custom group.
Click Save.
When users click this item in navigation, Copper opens the filtered list automatically.
Add Linked Pages to your navigation
If your team uses Linked Pages, you can place them directly within relevant navigation sections for faster access.
For example, you might add:
A project planning doc to your onboarding section
A shared dashboard to your sales workflow
A reference guide to your customer support group
To add Linked Pages:
Open Edit Navigation.
In the Navigation Catalog, locate the prebuilt Linked Pages section.
Drag it into your preferred position in the navigation.
Click Save.
Important:
The Linked Pages section can be moved or removed, but it cannot be edited directly in Custom Navigation.
Any Linked Pages you’ve already created will continue to appear within that section.
If removed from your main navigation, Linked Pages can still be accessed through the More menu.
Move or remove navigation items
To move an item:
Drag and drop it into a different position or group.
To remove an item:
Drag it back to the Navigation Catalog.
Removing an item from the main navigation does not delete it from Copper.
Users can still access removed items from the expanded navigation menu.
Expanded navigation (“More” menu)
Custom Navigation includes a new More option in the left-hand menu.
This menu shows:
Navigation items not currently pinned
Additional tools and features available in your account
Use this to keep your primary navigation focused while still maintaining access to everything in Copper.
Important notes
Only Admins and Account Owners can edit navigation.
Navigation changes apply to all users in the account.
Most items can only appear once in the navigation.
Prebuilt sections for Pipelines and Linked Pages can be moved or removed, but not edited.
Removed items remain accessible through the More menu.
