Bulk edit allows you to make changes to several records at one time. For example, if you need to added a new field to Copper and want to update existing records with the value, or maybe you changed your email and need to reassign records to the new email. Bulk edit removes the need to update or edit records individually.
The bulk edit capabilities let you do the following:
Bulk edit detail fields on records
Available for: Leads, people, companies, opportunities, projects or tasks.
When you bulk edit a record, you can change any of the detail fields on that set of records.
Important: Once you update, it can not be undone.
To bulk edit your records:
Sign into your Copper account and select the record type (leads, people, companies, opportunities, projects and tasks) you'd like to edit.
Check the box to the left of each record you'd like to update.
Select the bulk editing pen icon across the top of the list.
Make your change(s) to the field(s) in questions.
Click the blue 'Update' button to save your changes.
Bulk merge records
Available for: Leads, people and company records
If a customer emails you from two different addresses, or if multiple users add the same contact to your account, you may need to bulk merge these contact records to keep things clean and manageable.
Important: Once you merge records, it can not be undone.
You can bulk merge your lead, person and company records. Follow the instructions below to do this:
Sign into your Copper account and select the record type (leads, people, companies, opportunities, projects and tasks) you'd like to edit.
Check the box to the left of each record you'd like to update.
Select the merge icon at the top of the list:
In the pop-up window that appears, choose which field values will show up on the remaining record once the bulk merge is done.
Click 'Finish Merge' when you're ready to complete the merge.
Bulk email your contacts
Bulk emailing is a great feature for mass communication.

Export a bulk list

Bulk delete records
By default, Admins and Users can bulk delete records. If you want to restrict this function to only let Admins bulk delete records, please contact our support team using the in-app chat.
Sign into Copper.
Click the record type you want to bulk delete records from.
Check boxes to the left of each record you want to delete.
Across the top of the list, click the three dots and choose the option to 'Delete.'
You'll see a pop-up window asking you to reconfirm you want to delete these records. Click 'Delete.'
