If you'd like to test the new email automation feature without emailing your contacts, you can use the testing scenario that our own Product Team uses!
Import the attached csv of test contacts
These are real email addresses, but they are not "real" people
Test Contacts for Email Automations.csv
Create a List (saved filter) based on the import tag
Name your list something like "Test Email Automations"
Create an email automation to "Automatically email Contacts on a specific List" (the 2nd option in the gallery)
Choose the "Test Email Automations" List
Choose "Automation Owner" in the Send From (this is you)
Select an Email Template
Save the automation
Within a few minutes, you'll see the automated emails in your Gmail Sent folder and on the Profile of the "test" Contacts.
When you've finished testing, simply select all Contacts on the "Test Email Automations" List, and delete them as shown below:
Once you've viewed the status of the email automation and are satisfied with your testing, you can delete the test automation as well.
