Saved filters help you focus on the opportunities that need attention. In this article, we will cover three recommended pipeline filters you can use to manage open deals, forecast revenue, and find stalled opportunities.
Before you start: Saving a Filter
To Save a Filter, open your pipeline, then use the Filter Icon to choose the criteria for each view. After you apply the criteria, save the view as a new filter so you can return to it later.
π‘Tip: Admins can create public filters for the team. Individual users can create private filters for their own workflow.
Filter 1: Open opportunities by user
Create this filter so each user can quickly see the open opportunities they own.
Use these filter criteria:
Status is Open
Owned By is the user (teammate who's pipeline you are setting up)
Save the filter with a clear name, such as Bob's Open Opportunities. You can repeat the same setup for each teammate.
Filter 2: Closing this month
Create this filter to review opportunities that are expected to close during the current month.
Use these filter criteria:
Status is Open
Close Date is This Month
The "This Month" date range is dynamic, so the filter updates automatically when a new month starts. Use this view during sales meetings or one-on-ones to confirm whether deals are still expected to close on time.
Filter 3: Stalled opportunities
Create this filter to find deals that have been sitting in the same stage for too long.
Use these filter criteria:
Status is Open
Days in Stage is 30 or more
This view helps managers and teammates decide whether an opportunity needs follow-up, a stage update, or should be closed out.
Bonus: High-priority opportunities
You can also create a priority filter for the deals your team wants to focus on first.
For example, use:
Status is Open
Priority is High
You can also swap in any of your own custom fields, such as industry, account type, region, or any field that represents what matters most to your team.
Best practices
Keep saved filters specific and easy to understand.
Use dynamic date filters when possible.
Name each filter clearly.
Create separate views for different workflows so users can find the right opportunities without sorting through the full pipeline.
